Advance Australia Fair

On 12th February 2008 the Crean family left Singapore to live in Brisbane, Australia. Wayne started work with InterGen Australia as General Manager Trading and Marketing the next day. We moved into a rental house in Auchenflower with a lap pool which we use nearly every day. We all love the space, outdoor lifestyle and bbqs.

Soon after arriving we visited Murray, Denise, Bella (dog) and Bear (cat) at Cabarita Beach, NSW. The surf beaches are great.

Near our home is the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary where we visit often. Here we can feed kangaroos, rainbow lorikeets and cuddle koalas.

Joshua and Tessa started at Milton State School and Charlotte at Rosalie Kindergarten. They have all settled in very quickly and are making new friends readily.

Phuket - Jan/Feb '08

We treated ourselves to a holiday at Club Med Phuket. This set out to be a fabulous holiday which was extended for Louise and Charlotte when Charlotte got chicken pox and was unfit to fly!

This was a beautiful part of Thailand with clear, clean, warm rolling waves and white sand. Josh and Tessa loved kids club and did some amazing activites. They went on the bungy bounce, took part in shows on stage, archery, golf and Josh even did the trapeze!

After Wayne flew home to Singapore with Josh and Tessa, Louise and Charlotte swam, visited the hospital, played in the gardens, swam some more, drank pink lemonade and swam even more. They got to know the staff well too.

New Year 2008

We flew to the South Island and were in Ashburton at Kevin and Doreen's home for New Year. The kids enjoyed a day trip to the Antarctic Centre in Christchurch. The children got to wear jeans and sweatshirts for the first time in a year and a half! At the end of our holiday we had a few days in Mangawhai where we got to swim in the surf, go eeling and bush-walking before heading back to Singapore via Brisbane.

Christmas 2007

We flew to New Zealand for Christmas and this was our first trip home. We had a great time catching up with family and friends in Auckland, Ashburton, Christchurch and Mangawhai. Christmas day was at Sally and Brett's home in Auckland. On Boxing day we had a large Wight/Littlejohn family gathering at Pip and Sue's farm in Onewhero.
